“Time, you old gipsy man, / Will you not stay, / Put up your caravan / Just for one day?”

The snow has got me thinking about holidays – sun drenched excuses to wear Jackie O shades and frolic with abandon. Ok, the UK can’t really guarantee any sunshine, but it really can throw up some great places to visit if you scratch beneath the surface.

Last year, we visited a cool little spot in Rezare, Cornwall.  Rick and Kym own the loveliest place and make you feel more than welcome. We arrived carfree and they went out of their way to make sure we had enough food and drink to while away the British summer evenings, even driving us to the nearest supermarket!

This place is a retro joy filled with all manner of quirky bric-a-brac and masses of character. The interior is cosy and fitted with a log burner whilst you can fulfil your pyromaniac tendencies outside if that is more your thing with a proper old school campfire. Tranquil and romantic, it’s just you, the rabbits and the smell of smoke in your hair.
