Busy fingers

The sunshine and the relaxing nature of the Easter break has inspired me to give up smoking. I am no longer the pink lunged, bright smiled girl of my youth and feel that I need to take steps to regain my ‘mojo’, hence the no nicotine rule. I am doing ok, but needing to keep my fingers very busy. Gardening, baking crafty things…am starting to see the fruits of my labours as the Handyman is in cake crumb heaven, my beans have started sprouting in the garden and I have become a crochet demon.

Maybe I could just crochet my nicotine cravings away…? I am certainly making massive progress on my ramshackle quilt!

What lies beneath…?

As much as I love all things retro, even I can concede that there is such as thing as ‘bad retro’. Have spent most of the month of lurve stripping and scraping – not the type that involves pasties or tassles I hasten to add – and have uncovered all manner of kitsch skullduggery. Spare a thought for a child who went to sleep looking into those eyes…
